7 Journaling tips

1. Use pen and paper.

Although it is very easy to keep track of your thoughts in apps on your phone, the disadvantage of this is that you are very quickly distracted as soon as a notification arrives.

Writing with pen and paper gives you a break from the screen and we can all use a break like that.

2. Write every day.

Whatever time you choose, morning or evening, make sure you write in your journal every day, even when you don't feel like it. In this way you make a good habit of it

If you find that you have nothing to write about, write it down.

3. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Choose a nice notebook that fits you well so that you look forward to using it daily. But don't worry about writing errors or an ugly writing.

It can even be very nice to see the evolution and growth of you and your writing afterwards.

4. Ask yourself a number of questions.

Do you have no idea what you can write about? Then ask yourself a few questions to help you get started.

Here are a few examples:

* How do I feel?

* How do I want to feel?

* What was my favorite moment of the day?

* What do I want to change about myself?

* What would I never change about myself?

* Describe the room.

* Describe the people in your life.

*Describe yourself.

* Describe the aspects of your life that you are happy with and those areas that you are not happy with.

5. Date your pages.

You think you'll remember when what happened, but without a written date, chances are you will forget.

6. Write a lot or a little.

You don't have to fill 3 pages every day. It can be a few words that describe what happened, a few sentences about the height of your day.

7. Create your own ritual.

End your day with a journal and a mug of tea! Burn your favorite scented candle and set up your carefully selected journaling playlist! Write with your best pen and make journaling a fun, relaxing activity, not just an item on your to-do list.
