Meditate in 3 simple steps

Learning to meditate is just like learning a new skill.

Think of it as training a muscle that you have never used before.

The more often you train this muscle, the stronger it becomes.

Often it is also easier if you have someone who helps you with a plan of action and encourages you to leave. That's me, today I am your coach / cheerleader / # 1 supporter

Step 1. Find a quiet place.

Find a calm and peaceful place free of distractions. Switch off your TV and mobile phone and tell any housemates that you prefer not to be disturbed in the coming minutes.

Step 2. Take a comfortable position.

The most important thing is that you are in a comfortable position. If you choose to put yourself down on the floor, make sure you have a cushion that makes sitting a bit more comfortable and softer. If you prefer a chair, try to keep your back straight and do not let yourself hang.

Step 3. Watch your breathing.

Close your eyes and observe your breathing without trying to aim it. Just pay attention to the natural ebb and flow. Experience it with your senses. When your mind starts to wander (and it will happen), then acknowledge the lost thought, release it, and return to breathing.
